often dubbed the face of dark avant-garde, rick owens’ brutalist creations since 1994 have remoulded an entire generation’s view on fashion. despite the tyrannical urge for commercialisation, his deviant designs have created an entire universe that explores themes of androgyny, futurism and glamour. from heels being recontextualised for men to unorthodox furnitures, there is no telling on what he will do next. what we do know for sure is that the designer-cum-artist is nowhere near a plateau, and undeniably, we are all just living in rick owens' world.
