christopher nemeth’s influence on the 90s harajuku scene is extremely understated. his anatomically shaped garments routinely made it into cult favourite magazines (fruits) and shaped how an entire generation of chic Japanese youths expressed their individuality. this piece in particular features a long undyed linen coat that was modeled after a classic lab coat. the coat has 2 oversized pockets on the front and 2 equally huge pockets on the back. compared to the garments that were featured on the magazines, this relatively tame piece from the 90s showcases the designer’s ability to create well made garments that can be thrown on for every occasion.
