the ss03 ‘consumed’ by raf simons is set in a consumerism engulfed world where everything has been tainted by the need for physical consumption. common logos/imagery (jaws and playstation) were plastered onto garments to represent the danger of globalisation, predicting the need for people to be represented through various symbols that indicated their social status. through the lens of the youth, raf simons revealed a raw and unabashed anger that longed to be free from consumption. the combination of youth-inspired subversive notions and exquisite tailoring is exactly what made raf simons rise to fame in the early 2000s.   

this pair of pants in particular is part of the ss21 redux collection that reissued iconic garments from raf simons’s nearly 3 decades of work. they have a detachable cage enclosure that wraps around the waist and features 3 large zip cargo pockets. an adjustable d-ring belt can be found around the waist alongside the zip closure on the rise. front and back strap details can also be found. this pair is brand new with tags.
